The world is expected to reach a cumulative capacity of floating offshore wind energy of almost 40 gigawatts in 2030. The renewable technology is forecast to grow rapidly in the next years, with the United Kingdom, Italy, and Sweden leading the market. The UK will have approximately 7.9 gigawatts of floating offshore wind by that year.
